The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts more rain and snowfall in Murree and Galiyat over the next two days. A westerly wave is affecting the western and upper parts of Pakistan, expected to persist in the upper regions for the next few days. This weather pattern will bring rain and snow to Murree on Tuesday night, Wednesday, and Thursday, potentially affecting transportation.
Tourists are advised to be cautious due to the weather conditions. Murree is expected to have a minimum temperature between 00-02 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and Thursday. In the past 24 hours, freezing weather was observed in Murree and Galiyat, with Murree’s temperature dropping to the freezing point. The morning relative humidity was recorded at 59 per cent.
Tourists flocked to Malika-e-Kohsar and Galiyat to witness the winter snowfall, causing a traffic mess due to the influx of vehicles. However, tourists complained about high prices for commodities and reported an improper attitude from employees in hotels and restaurants.
