Bus crashes on I-95 in Maryland; 27 people injured

27 individuals experienced minor wounds Sunday after a transport crashed and moved on I-95 north of Baltimore, as indicated by the Baltimore County Fire Department.

The accident happened close to Kingsville, Maryland, presently before 7 a.m., fire authorities said in an articulation. The vehicle was operated by Megabus and was conveying 47 individuals. Authorities said that 15 of the 27 individuals harmed were taken to neighborhood emergency clinics.

No different vehicles were engaged in the accident, which is being explored by Maryland State Police, Baltimore County Fire Department authorities said.

Dan Rodriguez, a Megabus representative, said in an email that the driver of the transport was among the 15 individuals taken to the emergency clinic. A few of them have previously been delivered and will be given transportation to their last objective, he said.

The organization will lead an intensive audit of what occurred, however, didn’t have a further remark on the conditions encompassing the accident.

“Our first concern is the security of our clients and representatives,” Rodriguez said.

Phil Givens, who lives close by and took drone film of the transport on its side, said the accident happened on the southward side of the interstate. He said that a specific stretch of street is straight.

“They’ve been doing development, however it’s on the northward side,” he said by telephone.

Taylor Morningstar, who works for a nearby carport that towed the transport away, said by telephone that a tire on the traveler’s side was “almost the whole way ripped off, presumably due to the way (the transport) descended into that gorge.”

“It appeared as though they might have thrown the windshield out to begin piping (individuals) out of the transport,” said Morningstar.

He said the transport had a bay window on the rooftop that was “spiderwebbed” from the effect.
