There are numerous videos on the internet of individuals spotting tigers, leopards, and lions while on safari at wildlife parks and sanctuaries. But have you ever imagined seeing this wild animal up close? The large cat was observed at the side of the Golf Course in Ooty, Tamil Nadu, in a video that quickly went popular on the internet.

Ananth Rupanagudi, an officer with the Indian Railway Accounts Service, rushed to Twitter to share the videos and photos. He wrote in the caption, “This was at the edge of the Golf course in Ooty – the big cat with its meal! #tiger #golfcourse” The tiger can be seen wandering around the dead cow. The tiger appears to have already eaten the deceased cow and is seen dragging the dead victim.

Over 1900 people have liked the post. Many users were taken aback to see a tiger so near to human civilization.

According to one user, “I think tigers must be careful when humans play there. We have encroached their living space for our entertainment! (Not a troll, but a fact about us!)”

“Geez, is this a golf course in the middle of a pristine forest? Otherwise you don’t see tigers in the city except in zoos, it’s dangerous, both for the staff and the people playing, and if it comes out when you’re not careful it’s going to cause some accidents” another user stated

“OMG. I have played on this course. Not so lucky to spot such a magnificent animal, “another individual commented

“Sad. Obvious signs of humans encroaching too far into erstwhile forest. Attacking cattle is the first sign of tigers’ (usually younger, not dominant) turn towards man-eating” a fourth user was added

According to another user, “They are not infiltrators, we are. we acquired their land.”
