Monday brought the 80th Golden Globe nominations. The Golden Globe Awards recognise excellence in American and worldwide cinema and TV.

The Los Angeles Times reported in February 2021, a week before the 78th Golden Globes, that none of the 87 voting HFPA members are black. Soon after, the HFPA received negative response, therefore it now has 105 members, including black individuals.

The 80th Golden Globe nominations were unveiled Monday. This followed HFPA rage. Angela Bassett is the first MCU actor nominated for a Golden Globe. She’s top on the list.
