The Guinness Book of World Records has recognised Mouawad’s 1001 Night Diamond handbag as the priciest handbag in the world, so we’re not the only ones who think so. Ten skilled craftsmen spent a total of 8,800 hours creating this one-of-a-kind masterpiece. This heart-shaped purse is made of 18-carat gold and is embellished with 4,356 colourless diamonds, 56 pink diamonds, and 105 yellow diamonds. This weighs a total of 381.92 carats. The eye-watering price tag is partially explained by all this jewellery. The jewellery itself is further explained by the fact that Mouawad is a global watch and jewellery and with this piece has gone down in the history of bags.
