A significant decision has been made to launch a grand operation against the illegally residing Afghan refugees in Peshawar.

Joint teams, consisting of representatives from the revenue department, police, and district administration, have been formed to carry out this operation.

SSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi chaired a meeting, bringing together Divisional SPs, Assistant Deputy Commissioners, and SHOs from all police stations.

The collaborative gathering outlined the strategy for the operation within the limits of 34 police stations.

According to the policy discussed in the meeting, a comprehensive grand operation is set to commence for the evacuation of illegal Afghan residents.

Special teams, comprising Assistant Commissioners and SHOs, were established to implement the plan effectively.

SSP operations emphasized the professional execution of the operation, adhering to the survey and policy guidelines.

Special lists of illegal residents were provided to the teams, who will work diligently to meet daily evacuation targets at the Juma Khan holding camp in Nasir Bagh.

To ensure compliance with the policy, SSP operations stressed that actions taken should align with the established guidelines.

Additionally, it was clarified that initially, Afghans holding Proof of Registration (POR) and Afghan Citizenship Cards (ACC) would be exempted from the operation.

In a proactive move, special committees have been formed at the divisional level to verify fake POR, ACC cards, and ID cards.
