Toyota has introduced its second electric vehicle (EV), the Urban Cruiser EV, exclusively for the European market. The new model will make its debut at the 2025 Brussels Motor Show next month and is expected to be available in the UK by the third quarter of 2025.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV is 168.7 inches long, making it slightly shorter than the Toyota Corolla Cross, the smallest SUV currently available in the US.

The SUV has a wheelbase that is around 5 inches longer than the European-only Yaris Cross, offering more interior space despite its compact size.

Built on a new EV platform similar to the Suzuki e-Vitara, the Urban Cruiser comes with three power outputs and two battery options: a 49 kWh battery with front-wheel drive (FWD) and a 61 kWh battery with an all-wheel drive (AWD) option.

The compact SUV also features a flexible interior, thanks to a 2700mm wheelbase. It includes downhill assist and trail modes for enhanced control during driving. Inside, a digital cockpit with a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment display enhances the driving experience.
