Lufthansa Group airlines (Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines) has announced to scrap re-booking fees until the end of December 2020.

According to the details, the announcement extends the attempts airlines are making to encourage customers to book, despite the uncertainties of the novel coronavirus pandemic and the uncertainties of scheduling on many routes as airlines struggle both to fill aircraft and deal with hastily-imposed travel bans and quarantines.

Earlier Lufthansa announced to cut 20% in leadership positions and the reduction of 1,000 administrative jobs because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The German Airline also announced to cut the investment volume for new aircraft in half, with its financial plan allowing for up to 80 new aircraft for the airline’s fleet up to 2023.
