The sudden rise in sugar prices in Peshawar has added to the public’s woes.

According to details, the prices of sugar in Peshawar have gone up sharply due to which the prices of sweets, cakes, bakery items and other sweets have also gone up.

Sources said that the price in the retail market in Peshawar reached Rs 110 per kg.

Shopkeepers say that the price of 50 kg of sugar has gone up by more than Rs 800 in two weeks.

The shopkeepers further said that the price of the 50 kg sack was Rs. 3800 last week but today the price of the sack has gone up to Rs. 4700.
