Business community and Govt must work together says Abdul Hafeez Shaikh

Adviser to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Finance and Revenue, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has said that the Federal Board of Revenue FBI is working hard to make the tax paying system more transparent.
Addressing on Friday, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh said that the tax system is being automated. The audit system is being computerized.
He said that people want to be informed about taxpayers, we will publish details of taxpayers.
The basic philosophy of the government is to collect taxes, said Hafeez. He said that the tax details of Pakistan’s elected representatives will also be published.
While talking about the business community in Pakistan, he said we want taxes to be collected in such a way that there are no undue hardships for businessmen. The government is giving subsidies to industries on electricity and gas. The business community and the government have to work together. We will create policies that make things easier for the business community.
Moreover, he said that We took immediate steps to improve the economy and did not impose a new tax on the budget. In addition to this, he said Pakistan’s exports increased during the Coronavirus epidemic.
