ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to maintain the prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight effective from December 1, 2021, a statement said.

Analysts were predicting a further increase in the prices for the next fortnight but on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the prices were kept intact. Some of the analysts were predicting a decline in the petrol prices keeping in view the declining trend of oil prices in the international market.

However, the prices of motor spirit remain unchanged at Rs145.82, while that of kerosene and light diesel at Rs116.53 and Rs114.07/litre.

Earlier, the government had increased the prices of petrol by Rs8.03/litre on November 5, 2021.
