KARACHI: The Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) Karachi has collected tax revenue of Rs1.39 trillion during the period of July-May of fiscal year 2021/22.
According to a press statement by the LTO Karachi, the latest collection depicted a 41 per cent increase, compared with Rs991.78 billion during the same period of last fiscal year.
The LTO Karachi collected Rs1.39 trillion, which is Rs116.98 billion in excess of the assigned target of 1.27 trillion by the government for the period of first 11 months (July-May) of fiscal year 2021/22.
The LTO Karachi collected Rs130.13 billion in all taxes during the month of May, 2022, against the fixed target of Rs125 billion by the federal government.
