Tokyo stocks opened decreased on Wednesday after US shares primarily retreated on concerns about an approximate boom following a profit caution from the owner of Snapchat that shocked the tech region.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 0.13 percent, or 36.02 points at 26,712.12 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was down 0.08 percent, or 1.56 points, at 1,876.70.
