Amazon names consumer CEO as two senior Black leaders depart

Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) on Tuesday named long-lasting chief Doug Herrington to head its buyer business, part of a revamping that incorporates flights of two of the most senior Black pioneers from the internet-based retailer.

Amazon, once mocked for having more high-ranking representatives named Jeff than ladies or other underrepresented bunches in authority, said in an inner email seen that Alicia Boler Davis is leaving as senior VP of worldwide client satisfaction.
