Biden stated on Thursday in Madrid, “I told them I thought they should increase oil output in general, not just for the Saudis.” “I hope we can convince them that this is in their best interest.”

Biden stated that he will not be traveling to Saudi Arabia next month to request an increase in oil production.

However, he stated that he viewed the trip to the Middle East as an opportunity to further Israel’s integration into the region, urge for a truce in Yemen, and to strengthen ties with the Gulf states in general.
