First Argentina review approved by IMF board, unlocking $4 billion

The chief leading group of the International Monetary Fund on Friday finished the principal audit of its $44 billion Extended Fund Facility for Argentina, its overseeing chief said.

The endorsement takes into consideration the dispensing of about $4 billion.

Kristalina Georgieva said on Twitter the endorsement denoted the finish of an underlying step under the program to help the country’s “progressing financial recuperation and reinforce solidness.”
