Mercedes-Benz is recalling 1 million automobiles due to faulty brakes

- Mercedes-Benz Group AG will recall almost a million vehicles worldwide because of potential problems with the braking system.
- Affected cars were built between 2004 and 2015 and belong to ML and GL sports utility vehicle series as well as R-Class luxury minivans.
- A “particularly strong or hard” braking maneuver could cause mechanical damage to the vehicle’s brake booster.
Mercedes-Benz Group AG will review very nearly 1,000,000 vehicles overall in view of an expected issue with the slowing mechanism, Agence France-Presse revealed, refering to the German government transport authority.
The impacted vehicles, according to the KBA, were manufactured between 2004 and 2015.

The controller, known as KBA, said in a proclamation June 1 that the impacted vehicles were worked somewhere in the range of 2004 and 2015 and have a place with the ML and GL sports utility vehicle series as well as the R-Class extravagance minivan, as per AFP.
Mercedes affirmed the review in an explanation to AFP, saying a “especially impressive or hard” slowing down move could make mechanical harm the vehicles’ brake supporter in “uncommon cases” of extremely serious erosion.
In a statement to AFP, Mercedes confirmed the recall, noting that in “rare circumstances” of very extensive corrosion, a “particularly powerful or harsh” braking technique could cause mechanical damage to the vehicles’ brake booster.
In excess of 993,000 vehicles were being reviewed around the world, of which 70,000 were in Germany, AFP detailed.
