Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said on Tuesday he was researching whether Walmart (WMT.N) inappropriately filled remedies and neglected to report dubious orders while selling narcotic medications.

Paxton said he had opened a common examination concerning Walmart’s expected infringement of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act connecting with the advancement, deal, apportioning, and dissemination of remedy narcotics.

The examination centers around Walmart’s consistency with a prerequisite to submitting documentation connected with its narcotic orders to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and all Texas state offices in Texas, Paxton said.

“I have battled for Texans who have been unfortunately affected by the unlawful promoting an offer of narcotics, which have caused habit and the awkward passings of thousands of individuals every year,”

Paxton said. “I’m focused on considering drug stores responsible on the off chance that they assumed a part in this overwhelming pestilence.”
