Ethereum currently trades at $1,265 with a $2.6 billion 24-hour trading volume. The ETH/USD pair is encountering significant resistance on the 4-hour period close to the $1,276 level, which is stretched by a double top formation.

The next resistance area of $1,300 might be reached by the ETH price with a successful breakout of the $1,275 level. On the other side, if Doji and spinning top candles close below $1,275, the ETH price may be exposed to the $1,245 region.

The price of ETH is currently trading around $1,240, and a bearish breach of that level might lead to more selling down to $1,220.
