Dubai: Emirates extends Israel flight suspension to November 14
Emirates Airlines has extended the suspension of its flights to and from Israel until November 14. Initially, this suspension was set to last until October 20 and was then extended to October 26.
The Dubai-based carrier, which operates three daily flights to Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV), made this decision in close collaboration with relevant authorities. Their primary concern remains the safety of their passengers, crew, and stakeholders.
“We are closely monitoring the situation in Israel and are in close contact with the relevant authorities. The safety of our customers, crew, and stakeholders is our number one priority,” Emirates stated on its website.
“Customers affected by the suspension should contact their booking agents for alternatives, refunds, cancellations, or to rebook their flight itineraries. Change and cancellation charges will be waived for tickets issued on or before October 11, 2023, for travel until November 30, 2023,” it stated.
Flydubai has also adjusted its flight schedule to and from Tel Aviv, reducing daily return flights from four to two. “Flights FZ 1549/1550 and FZ 1209/1210 to Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport are currently operating as scheduled. We are monitoring the situation closely and amending our schedule accordingly. We will continue to liaise with the relevant authorities regarding the ongoing developments.”
Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, however, has confirmed that its daily flight to Israel continues to operate according to schedule.
