Nadra issues a cancellation certificate when it cancels an ID card due to the death of a citizen. A blood relative with a valid National Identity Card or NICOP, along with the death certificate from the union council and the graveyard certificate, can apply for this cancellation. The Nadra Registration Centre destroys the original ID card of the deceased to prevent any misuse.

How to Apply for Nadra ID Card Cancellation

To obtain a cancellation certificate, the applicant needs to go to any NADRA Registration Center (NRC). This category applies to the cancellation of an ID card for a deceased Pakistani citizen or ex-Pakistani, and it can be applied for by immediate family members, including parents, siblings, children, or spouse.

Nadra ID Card Cancellation Fee Update

A minor fee of Rs50 is charged by the authority to handle requests related to the cancellation of an ID card due to the death of the citizen.
