Lahore’s traffic police initiated a crackdown on individuals operating vehicles without a valid license to reduce road accidents. Simultaneously, the city’s traffic police announced a revised fee structure for driving licenses across various categories, effective January 16.
Motorcycle License Fee Adjustments (January 2024)
Previously, a five-year motorcycle driving license incurred a fee of Rs550. However, as of January 16, 2024, residents of Punjab will now pay Rs500 annually for this license. This adjustment aims to streamline licensing procedures and enhance accountability.
Car and Jeep License Fee Update
Formerly priced at Rs 950 for five years, the driving license fee for cars or Jeeps has undergone a significant change. Citizens are now required to pay Rs 1,800 annually, reflecting the government’s commitment to road safety through stringent license enforcement.
The revised fee structure details have been disseminated through official police channels, reinforcing the importance of adhering to licensing regulations.
