Karachi Traffic Police has released the route plan for the main procession of Youm-e-Ali (RA), which is set to occur on the 21st of Ramadan.

The procession, commemorating the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA), will begin at Nishtar Park and conclude at the Hussaniyan Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar.

According to a spokesperson, the central majlis honoring Hazrat Ali’s martyrdom will be held at Nishtar Park.

The procession will traverse through its traditional routes, passing through Numaish, MA Jinnah Road, and Sea Breeze before reaching Empress Market in Saddar. From there, it will proceed through Regal and Saddar, returning to MA Jinnah Road at the Tibet Centre.

To ensure the smooth flow of the procession, designated routes will be closed to regular traffic. Traffic police personnel will be deployed to guide motorists along alternative routes.

Once the procession sets off from Nishtar Park, traffic from the city will be redirected through Soldier Bazaar, Coast Guards, and Anklesaria Chowk to Nishtar Road.

Motorists traveling from Nazimabad to MA Jinnah Road will be rerouted via Lasbela Chowk and Garden. Similarly, those heading from Liaquatabad or Stadium Road to MA Jinnah Road will be redirected through Jail Road and Sharea Quaideen.

Drivers intending to travel from Gulberg to MA Jinnah Road will be rerouted through Liaquatabad No. 10 and Nazimabad Chowrangi No. 2.

Traffic from Gurumandir Chowk will also be redirected to Bahadur Yar Jung Road.

To maintain traffic flow, vehicles heading from Sharea Quaideen to Naumaish Chowrangi are advised to avoid Society Office Chowrangi.

The Karachi Traffic Police urges all commuters to adhere to these route adjustments to ensure a safe and orderly observance of Youm-e-Ali (RA).
