In a significant stride for the energy sector, solar panel prices in Pakistan have plummeted, making solar energy more accessible to the population. With rising electricity tariffs, many Pakistanis are turning to renewable energy sources.

Notably, the capital city has seen a substantial drop in solar panel prices. Reports indicate that solar systems ranging from 7 KW to 15 KW are now Rs. 200,000 cheaper.

For instance, the cost of a 7KW system has decreased by Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 825,000, while a 10KW system is now available for Rs. 1.125 million.

Similarly, the 12KW system’s price has dropped by Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 1.4 million, and the 15KW system now costs Rs. 1.6 million after a reduction of Rs. 200,000.

This price decline is especially notable as it precedes the summer season, a time when prices typically surge due to heightened demand.

It marks a departure from last month, when solar panel prices rose in anticipation of increased summer demand.

The trend towards more affordable solar energy signifies a positive shift towards a greener and more sustainable future for Pakistan.
