In Islamabad, Pakistani citizens must obtain a Schengen short-term visa to travel as tourists to Sweden in Europe. With its beautiful coastal islands, lakes, forests, and mountains, Sweden is a top tourist destination.

The Swedish Embassy manages Schengen visa applications for Pakistani and Afghan citizens, as well as those legally living in Pakistan. Starting June 19th, applicants from Pakistan can submit their visa applications through VFS Global in various cities like Bangkok, Yangon, Hanoi, and others.

When applying for a visa, applicants must present bank statements dating back six months. This is to prove they possess sufficient funds to cover their expenses while in Sweden.

They must also demonstrate a particular minimum amount for each day they intend to stay in the country.

For a 30-day stay in Sweden, applicants need to have EUR 2,400 in their bank account. With the exchange rate on April 4, 2024, which is 299.9 Pakistani rupees per Euro, this means they should have at least Rs700,000 in their bank accounts for their visit to the European country.
