Pakistan inflation rate decreased by 0.73% in one week

Recent data from the Bureau of Statistics highlights a decrease in inflation rates after a period of continuous increases. Over the past week, inflation decreased by 0.73 percent, bringing the overall inflation rate to 22.88 percent.

According to the Institute of Statistics, prices of 18 items increased, 8 items decreased, and 25 items remained stable.

Key increases include domestic LPG cylinders rising by up to Rs. 154, chickpeas by Rs. 13 per kg, and mung dal by Rs. 10 per kg.

Prices for pulses and masoor increased by Rs. 5 and Rs. 0.79 per kg respectively. A 20 kg bag of flour saw an increase of Rs. 10.

Conversely, tomatoes saw a decrease of Rs. 40 per kg, live chicken by Rs. 52 per kg, onions by Rs. 6 per kg, and garlic by Rs. 14 per kg over the week.

The fluctuation in prices reflects ongoing economic dynamics and efforts to stabilize consumer costs amidst varying supply and demand pressures.
