Govt reduces petrol price by Rs1.86 per litre in Pakistan

The federal government of Pakistan is expected to raise petroleum prices starting August 1st. The revised petrol prices will be announced on the night of July 31 and will come into effect on August 1st.

Previously, on July 16, 2024, the government had already increased petrol and diesel prices. Petrol was raised by Rs9.99 per liter, while diesel saw an increase of Rs6.18 per liter.

Expected New Petrol and Diesel Prices

The anticipated new prices are expected to further increase petrol by Rs4.68 per liter and diesel by Rs3.72 per liter.
