Cement prices in Pakistan have seen a slight decrease due to reduced sales, driven by rising construction costs following the imposition of substantial taxes.
The recent dip in cement prices follows the introduction of new taxes and increased federal excise duties, impacting sectors like mining, transportation, and construction. A 50 kg cement bag now costs around Rs. 1,500, with prices dropping by Rs. 20 per kg.
Bestway Cement is priced between Rs. 1,530 and Rs. 1,550 per bag. Pakcem and DG Khan Cement are slightly cheaper, ranging from Rs. 1,520 to Rs. 1,530, while Fauji Cement falls between Rs. 1,510 and Rs. 1,520. Lucky Cement and Cherat Cement are priced at Rs. 1,515 to Rs. 1,525.
Maple Leaf Cement matches Pakcem and DG Khan Cement at Rs. 1,520 to Rs. 1,530. Askari Cement and Pioneer Cement are similarly priced between Rs. 1,510 and Rs. 1,520.
Paidar Cement is slightly lower at Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 1,510, with Falcon Cement available for Rs. 1,495 to Rs. 1,505. The most affordable option is Flying Pakistan Cement, ranging from Rs. 1,485 to Rs. 1,500 per bag.
