KARACHI: The buying rate of the Omani Rial (OMR) in Pakistan dropped to Rs. 715.25, while the selling rate remained unchanged at Rs. 723.75 on Saturday, November 23.

According to forex.pk, the exchange rate has shown stability, with minimal fluctuation in the open market value of the Omani Rial against the Pakistani Rupee.

The Omani Rial (OMR), the official currency of Oman divided into 1,000 baisa, has retained its stability despite fluctuations in other currencies. This steady rate is crucial for the large Pakistani expatriate population in Oman, estimated to be around 250,000, as it directly impacts remittances and earnings conversion into Pakistani Rupees.

Individuals can convert Omani Rials into Pakistani Rupees at local banks or authorized exchange companies at prevailing market rates. The stable exchange rate ensures consistency for both expatriates and travelers handling cross-border transactions.

On November 22, the Omani Rial’s buying rate in Pakistan was also recorded at Rs. 715.25, with a selling rate of Rs. 723.75. However, the currency depreciated by 41 paisas against the Pakistani Rupee in the open market.
