Latest petrol price in Pakistan from February 1
The Pakistani government has increased fuel prices for the next pricing cycle starting February 1, 2025. According to a notification from the Finance Division, petrol prices have risen by Re1 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs257.13 per litre.
Additionally, high-speed diesel (HSD) has seen a significant Rs7 increase, pushing its price from Rs260.95 to Rs267.95 per litre. The revised prices will take effect from midnight on February 1 (today).
Recent Fuel Price Changes
In the previous pricing review, petrol prices had already increased by Rs0.56 per litre, reaching Rs256.13 per litre. The latest adjustments have been made following recommendations from the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), which determines fuel rates based on global oil price fluctuations and the exchange rate of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.
Updated Fuel Prices
- Petrol: Rs257.13 per litre (+Re1)
- High-Speed Diesel (HSD): Rs267.95 per litre (+Rs7)
LPG Price Hike
The government has also raised liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices by Rs3.68 per kg for both domestic and commercial users for February 2025.
Fuel prices in Pakistan are revised every 15 days to reflect international market trends. The latest hike may impact transportation and living costs, adding to inflationary pressures on consumers.
