Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Hubco Green (Private) Limited have signed an agreement to develop and market EV charging infrastructure in Pakistan. This initiative aims to promote the adoption of electric vehicles by offering charging services at select PSO fuel stations nationwide.

According to the report, the signing ceremony took place on February 14, as mentioned in a notification issued by PSO to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). This partnership is expected to play a key role in supporting Pakistan’s shift towards sustainable transportation.

Meanwhile, on the same day, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet discussed the approval of an international joint trading company in Singapore. This company is reportedly a collaboration between PSO and the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).

Although reports suggest that the approval has been granted, PSO clarified in an official statement that it has yet to receive an official confirmation in the form of meeting minutes.

As Pakistan moves towards cleaner energy solutions, partnerships like PSO and Hubco Green’s are crucial in expanding EV infrastructure and supporting the country’s energy transition.
