ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court on Monday reserved the verdict in Section 144 violation case on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders.

For the hearing, PTI lawyer Babar Awan appeared in the court along with Faisal Javed Khan and Ali Nawaz Awan – nominees in the case.

Babar Awan maintained before the court that PTI leaders were accused of blocking the roads and damaging the state’s property adding that 37 cases have been filed in the capital so far with the same charges.

The court asked the prosecutor to present his arguments in the case to which he said that he will present them after getting hold of the record.

The court then ordered him to submit a reply till November 14 and reserved the decision.

Pertinently, Imran Khan and several PTI leaders, including Asad Umar, Murad Saeed, Fawad Chaudhary and Faisal Javed, are named in the case for violation of Section 144 during the protest against the arrest of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill.

Sheikh Rasheed is also among the 17 people named in the FIR.
