Education Minister of Punjab, Dr Murad Raas wrote on his official twitter about the holidays in school across the province.

According to the statement, All public and private schools in Punjab will remain closed till July 15, 2020.

Dr. Murad Raas said, Holidays have been increased for 15 days to prevent coronavirus.

He added, details regarding promotion and board exams of students in next classes will be issued through notification.

He further said that the lives of our children, teachers and families are of paramount importance to the state.

The provincial minister announced on twitter, “Announcement: All Public & Private Schools will remain closed till July 15, 2020 in Punjab due to Corona Virus. The lives of our children, teachers & their families are priority # 1. Details of promotion to next classes & board exams will be explained in the Notification.”

Earlier, he has denied the fake news and clarified on twitter, “Let it be very CLEAR for all concerned. No decision has been made regarding opening of schools on June 1st, 2020. Discussions are underway. Lives of our Children & Honourable Teachers is priority number one. Everything else can wait. Unless you hear from me, rest is FAKE NEWS!”
