On Friday, the Sindh High Court (SHC) has rejected the petition to delay the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT 2020) which is scheduled for November 29 (Sunday).

Because of the rapidly growing cases of coronavirus, students had been demanding the authorities to postpone the MDCAT 2020 test and demanded to reschedule it.

The court stressed in its decision that students should strictly follow the coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the examination halls, and stated the test will be held as per the schedule.

Earlier, Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz had raised voice in support of the students’ demand for a delay in the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) exam.

According to the details, Maryam Nawaz took to her Twitter and questioned why the MDCAT 2020 was being held when educational institutes have been shut down in the country amid the second wave of the novel coronavirus.

While all educational institutions are closed and exams are being postponed, MDCAT students are being forced to appear for NMDCAT test by PMC. Isn’t safety of medical students& safety of their families not as important? Why the discrimination? Why imperil them & their families?
