KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced the dates for matric and intermediate examinations to be held next year.

The matric and intermediate exams of students of Class 9 and 10 will be held from May 8, 2023, and examinations for Class 11 and 12 will be held from May 22, 2023.

The examination pattern has also been changed with its approval given in a sub-committee meeting chaired by School Education Secretary Akbar Leghari.  Board of Secondary Education Karachi Chairman also attended the meeting.

As per the new changes in the examination pattern, the paper will be based on 20% of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), 40% of short answers, and 40% of long answers.

The academic session for 2023-24 will start from 1^st August, 2023. It was also decided that winter vacations will be observed from 22-31 December, 2022.
