Cold Play pays honor to Amjad Sabri in their latest album

Pakistani artists like late Amjad Sabri gained popularity not only in Pakistan but in other countries as well.

Popular British band Cold Play has released their new song “Church” in which they have paid honor to the legend late Amjad Sabri.

The lead singer of the band Chris Martin said in a recent interview with a YouTube channel Entercom that they have paid tribute to Amjad Sabri in a song of their latest album.

According to Martin, he took inspiration from Amjad Sabri. He included samples from Amjad Sabri’s masterpiece jaga ji lagane ki dunya nahi hai.

He said, “There are two other cool singers on that one. There’s this guy who a Pakistani singer was called Amjad Sabri. He was sadly murdered by people who didn’t like what he stood for.”

Chris also said the band has added samples from the songs of Norah; a girl from Jerusalem.
