New Star Wars film ‘Rise of Skywalker’ has received the second-worst reviews in film series history since 1999 blockbuster The Phantom Menace.

The final part of the movie has made a debut in theaters around the globe today, Thursday 19 December.

The story of Star Wars begun in 1977 and followed by the prequel (Episodes I, II, III, 1999–2005) and sequel trilogies (Episodes VII, VIII, IX, 2015–2019).

According to an American review-aggregation website for film and television Rotten Tomatoes, 57% of 157 reviews for Rise of Skywalker were positive as of Tuesday morning which has ranked as the second-lowest score among the nine films, ahead of only the 53% for The Phantom Menace.

With a combined budget of $923million, I can't help but wonder how much that money could've been better spent than on the Disney StarWars Trilogy.
