Pamela Anderson’s husband of 12 days, Jon Peters, has got engaged to another woman just weeks after splitting from her.

Anderson and Peters tied the knot in a surprise wedding in Malibu in January but the marriage didn’t last a fortnight.

Peters cited ‘commitment issues’ as a reason why they went their separate ways.

He has obviously got over those fears though as just three weeks later, it has been announced that Pamela Anderson’s husband the 74-year-old Hollywood producer has popped the question to Julia Bernheim.

Us Weekly has reported that the news of the engagement was revealed by Neptune Wellness CEO Michael Cammarata while he “rang the NASDAQ Closing Bell on Thursday, February 20.”

Anderson said: “I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union.

“We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another.”

She continued the statement by asking for privacy: “Life is a journey and love is a process.

“With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy.”

Us Weekly had a different view on the break-up, reporting that Peters had actually binned off his marriage with Anderson by text.

There had been accusations that Anderson had married Peters for his money, with the actress reportedly looking to clear her $200,000 (£155,000) debt.
