Upcoming Pakistani Movie ‘Lockdown’ aims for digital release

Gohar Rasheed and Faryal Mehmood have signed up for an upcoming love story against the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. The movie ‘Lockdown’ is directed by Abu Aleeha. 

As per details, the movie is aiming for a digital release either on Netflix or Amazon Prime, so that people can enjoy watching the movie by sitting at home.

While talking to a private media outlet, Gohar revealed,

“The film will show how a common man is affected by [the coronavirus], how a simple couple gets affected by the horrors of COVID-19, and the repercussions of lockdown.”

Gohar continued to say that the movie is very relatable and praised Abu Aleeha’s work.

“The concept is very original. I was completely sold on Abu Aleeha’s vision for this film. I really hope with this project we enter the OTT [streaming service] market,” said Gohar.
