On Nazia Hassan’s 20th death anniversary, Pakistan’s versatile singer Hadiqa Kiani shared a memorable picture with the demised pop star.

Taking to her Instagram account Hadiqa wrote,

“he day we lost Nazia Hassan is a day I can never forget. She was kind, generous, loving, and inspiring. We only met a handful of times and each time I was in awe of her beauty and grace.”

The Boohay Baariyan singer told when she first met Hassan in an award show.

“The first time I met her was at this award show where I was being presented with some sort of Best New Artist award and Nazia had found out that I was such a fan. I remember she came up behind me, covered my eyes, and said “guess who?,” I was absolutely still from shock until I heard the most melodious voice say “it’s Naziaaa.”

She went on to write,

“I’m not one to be starstruck but I could not believe it was her. We later talked and I was enchanted by her elegance and humble demeanor. Her support meant the world to me.”

She concluded by writing that Pakistan will never have another Nazia Hassan ever.

“I’ll share more stories another time but for now, I will only say that there will NEVER be another Nazia Hassan.”

It should be mentioned here that the legendary pop singer Nazia Hassan, who fought a long battle with lung cancer, died in London on 13 August 2000 at the age of 35.
