Many peaceful protests were held around Pakistan to raise voice against the increasing rate of rape incidents in the country.

Recently, a horrific incident took place in Pakistan where a mother of two was gang-raped by two men on Lahore motorway. The woman, along with her two children, was driving to Gujranwala in her car when she was forced to stop at the Gujjarpura section of the motorway after running out of fuel.

She immediately called a relative and sent him her location. He asked her to also dial the Motorway Police helpline 130 from which she reportedly received no response.

After the heartbreaking case started to revolve on social media, people from every city, every area came in support of the victim and carried out peaceful protests to hang the rapists. Pakistani celebrities also joined the protests.
