Amidst the ongoing demand of hanging rapists, showbiz celebrities, political leaders and social media users bashed the government for not taking such strict action against this horrific events.

After the recent Motorway rape incident and Marwah rape-murder case, Twitteraties sparked fury and are demanding public hanging of rapists.

Moreover, the showbiz fraternity also raised their voice against the rape case and the blindful attitude of the government.

However, singer and social worker Shehzad Roy is against the public hanging punishment.

Shahzad Roy took to Twitter to share his thoughts about this matter.

He wrote, “Whoever is demanding to hang any criminal publicly should not forget that there is enough research available that ‘violence breeds violence'”.

He further added, “I have done a lot to save kids from sexual abuse & corporal punishment. Rapists, child molesters, or criminals like them should be punished with the full force of law. I am against giving any punishment publicly,” he reiterated, adding, “Do you want our young kids to see bodies hanging on chowks, chorahas and markets?”

However, a number of people disagreed with Roy’s point of view and his post is flooded with negative comments.
