American rapper Benny the Butcher was wounded on Saturday during an attempted robbery at a Walmart store in Houston. He was shot in the leg.

According to the international news source, Benny, whose real name is Jeremie Damon Pennick, was visiting friends in Houston when they went to a retailer. They were sitting in a parking lot when another vehicle with five men inside reportedly showed weapons and demanded their chains and jewelry.

One of the attackers fired a shot at the rapper’s leg and fled before Pennick and his friends called police. Pennick was taken to a hospital.

An investigation into the matter is still underway.

Pennick aka Benny the Butcher is part of Buffalo’s Griselda hip-hop group. The incident has happened days after Dallas rapper MO3 was killed in a shooting on November 11.

Earlier, renowned US rapper Brian Trotter has been found dead in the boot of a car after a crash on a highway in Miami.

Brian Trotter was known for his name ‘Kent won’t stop’.

As per the details, Florida Highway Patrol officers found the body after being called to the site of the incident.

A police report said highway patrolmen were called to the site of the car crash on the Palmetto Expressway in Miami on Sunday.

Inside the boot, they found the body “wrapped in a piece of fabric and an advanced stage of decomposition”.

They towed the vehicle to a nearby car park but became suspicious after noticing a bed smell and flies.
