The festival of colors is one of the most popular festivals among Hindus. According to sources, the word has been derived from the word ‘Holika’. The event is not new, it was celebrated in the past we well. Historians say that it was celebrated by all Aryans but more so in Eastern areas of India.

This festival is mainly celebrated to welcome “spring”.
