Veteran showbiz actress and show host Samina Peerzada has received the vaccination for the novel Coronavirus.

Taking to Twitter, the Zindagi Gulzar Hai starlet posted her picture while being vaccinated and also praised the government.

Earlier in the day, President Dr Arif Alvi and his wife Samina Alvi got the COVID-19 vaccine jab in Islamabad.

President Arif Alvi along with his wife reached Tarlai Vaccination Center to receive the vaccine.

The President, while speaking on the occasion, said that the vaccine is being administered to senior citizens in Pakistan as per age categories.

The President said that he got himself registered on the Helpline 1166 and received the shots according to the turns.

Dr Arif Alvi said that the government has introduced an easy and the best mechanism to avoid long queues.

Moreover, he advised taking all possible precautionary measures following the third wave of deadly Coronavirus outbreak.
