Shaniera, the wife of former captain Wasim Akram, issued a personal message regarding the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

She took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote,

“COVID is taking lives, crippling businesses, destroying education, increasing mental illness, dividing our world & ripping families apart.”

I know my husband sent us to Oz to be safe but nothing makes me wish the end of COVID more than hearing our baby cry for her daddy every night,” wrote Shaniera.

Earlier, Shaniera celebrated her 38th birthday She was born on March 20, 1983, in Australia.

Legendary cricketer Wasim Akram married Shaniera, an Australian, in 2013, with whom he has a daughter, Aiyla Akram. Aiyla was born in 2014.
