Popular showbiz actress Hania Aamir, who is quite usual to remain under headlines after her breakup with singer Asim Azhar, is facing extreme backlash from social media users over her engagement prank.

On April 1, Hania Aamir posted a snap wearing a ring and announced her engagement with singer Shamoon Ismail which turned out to be an April fool trick.

Soon after the post went viral, she was flooded with best wishes and congratulatory messages by her friends and family members.

It was so real that a number of netizens fell for the trick. The engagement news stormed the entire internet.

After some hours, the Anaa starlet posted to confirm her prank and thanked Shamoon Ismail and other friends for support her for this funny act.

“Thanks, guys. I’ll definitely have a better quality photo when it’s real. I love you guys. #aprilfoolsThanks @shamoonismail for being such a sport.And my crazy friends for just being themselves,” she wrote.

But, the prank turned out to be poisonous, as Hania started receiving extreme criticism from naysayers.

Hania Aamir really pulled all stops to make her April Fool’s joke work, but the Internet clearly is not having any of it.
