Heart of Invictus: Harry, Meghan Team Up With Netflix For First TV Series

Seven months after signing a multi-year deal with Netflix, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced their first series titled “Heart of Invictus” with the streaming giant.

“Heart of Invictus”, which hails from Oscar winners Orlando von Einsiedel and Joanna Natasegara (The White Helmets), will follow a group of extraordinary competitors from around the globe — all service members who have suffered life-changing injuries or illnesses — on their road to the Invictus Games The Hague 2020, an international event that features nine total sports.

Prince Harry has been a champion of the Invictus Games since its inception so it’s fitting that Archewell’s first Netflix series will spotlight and celebrate the competition’s amazing athletes.

Prince Harry, who founded the Invictus Games, will appear on camera during Heart of Invictus and will serve as an executive producer on the series.

According to a press release issued, “Heart of Invictus” will follow “a group of extraordinary competitors from around the globe, all service members who have suffered life-changing injuries or illnesses on their road to the Invictus Games The Hague 2020, now set to take place in 2022.”

“Since the very first Invictus Games back in 2014, we knew that each competitor would contribute in their own exceptional way to a mosaic of resilience, determination, and resolve. This series will give communities around the world a window into the moving and uplifting stories of these competitors on their path to the Netherlands next year,” said Prince Harry in his statement.
