Rapper DMX, who was famous for his troubles as much as his music breathed his last at the age of 50 today (Friday).

His family confirmed the news and announced the news of his demise in a statement.

“We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days,” family’s statement read.

“Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end,” the family continued. “He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him.”

According to the details, DMX was hospitalized since last week after he suffered a heart attack at his home in New York, told his attorney, Murray Richman.
