Houses of Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor Are Now Owned By Archeology Dept.

Ownership of the houses of legendary Bollywood actors Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor in Peshawar has been transferred to the Archeology Department. 

Deputy Commissioner Peshawar rejected the objections of the owners of both the houses and announced the award and transferred the ownership of both the houses to the Archaeological Department.

The 6-marla Kapoor mansion is located in Dhaki Munawar Shah, which was built by Prithviraj Kapoor’s father Dewan Kapoor.

While the legendary actor Dilip Kumar, who ruled the Indian film industry for decades, was born in the house of Mohalla Khuddad.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to convert the two houses into a museum, but there has been a dispute over prices between the government and current homeowners.

The legendary actors had spent their lives in these ancient houses and now these houses are in a very dilapidated condition.
